Hay so I've cancelled my sky today I know you have to give notice. I was just wondering I paid my last bill 2 days ago. It went up by 30 pounds cause apparently I'm out of contract. So I've checked my bill which i paid it's from 28th August to 27th September I'm wondering will i be charged a full bill on 28th September? As i know they still charge you while you wait for your notice to end. My bill is usually £100.

Find out moreYour 31 days notice starts today so you'll be charged in full on 28 September as you'll still be a customer and that bill will have been generated on or about 14 September anyway. Then within 6 weeks of your last day of connection you'll be reimbursed the overpayment.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs you have to give 31 days notice to cancel Sky TV and because the bills are created 14 days earlier you probably will have to pay the next bill if it is Sky TV that you have cancelled. If this is the case then once you have left the overpayment will appear as a credit so as soon as you see this post back on here as we can alert Sky's messaging team for you as they will be able to issue a refund.
For Sky Broadband Talk it is 14 days notice so you might not be billed for this.

How do I be charged in full when my bill I've just paid me was from 28th August to 27th September? Cause when i look on my future bills it says in September I pay £100 which covers from 28th September to 27th October? But I won't be using the services in october

Both myself and @Daniel0210 have explained this to you in our posts above, this happens because billing continues as normal during your notice period.

okay that's a nightmare cause ill be billed my new services at the same time so won't be able to afford to pay 100 then another 100+ with my new supplier could I just pay the few days in stead manually?

Many have tried, all have failed. I know it's frustrating but generated bills need paying.

@PandJ2020 well their system is a joke I won't financially be able to pay for a whole bill as I will have to pay my other provider it will leave me in financial hardship. I'll just have to see what they say when the time comes.

I've spoke to sky 2 times today and yesterday via text. Took the whole day both times but both assistants have said they have cancelled my sky but I've not recieved confirmation email to say I've cancelled. How long does it usually take to recieve the email after I've cancelled. I'm worried cause I've heard horror stories about people cancelling but they didn't cancel it.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI'm not sure that you will receive an email so what does your account itself show (not your bill), is there any mention of the cancellation ?

@caesarome I've not recieved any email and my account is normal. I can't deal with calling as they cause me anxiety and they can't understand my accent :s
