EDIT: Escalated

Mobile contracts often run longer than you think - a Swap24 deal is actually 3 years.  Perhaps this is why you still owe for them?

I presume you had FTTC instead of FTTP.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

'Superfast' is typically FTTC: fibre optic cable to a local cabinet (within a few kilometres of the subscription address) and then copper phone cable the rest of the way.

'Ultrafast' is now usually FTTP with the optical circuit extending all the way to the property: there's also the legacy G.fast service sold as 'Ultrafast' but delivered over copper for a short distance.

Confusingly it's quite possible to order a Superfast speed band ('up to' either 40Mbs or 80Mbs) over an Ultrafast-capable optical circuit, but Ultrafast cannot be ordered over FTTC.  Only the almost-extinct ADSL broadband, being copper all the way from the telephone exchange, is not legitimately described as either Superfast or Ultrafast.

Sky certainly doesn't owe you anything for marketing FTTC as 'Superfast' : that's always been standard industry terminology, and acknowledged as being so by government.

https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/broadband-faqs/

Also note it's still a 'Superfast' wholesale broadband service even when the copper line length or quality doesn't permit speed above the 24Mbs or 30Mbs figures quoted there.

Ofcom has finally  recognised this is potentially problematic for consumers, and so is now requiring ISPs to use the terms 'copper', 'part fibre' and 'full fibre'.
