Frequent Calls from Sky
Wasn't sure where to post this but wanted to ask for opinions....
For the last week or two I have been getting regular calls from "0800 761 3372" which I believe is the number used by Sky Customer Service/Sales?
I have been busy and not answered on several occasions, but when I do the line is always silent with no response to my voice and the call ends after a couple of seconds. I presume they are trying to get me to sign up for a new deal as my TV contract ends soon, but for them to not pick up after I have is getting a little annoying !
Assuming I am correct with the above, is there anything I can do to talk to them in order to find out find what they want to offer, or alternatively stop them calling?

Regarding the number you mention, don't forget that any number can be spoofed.

Thanks for the link, I see I could opt out but really would like to see if I can negociate any discount (I am happy with the content and do not want to leave Sky at this point but it is getting expensive) . Do you know whats the best method of contacting them on this subject?
Thanks in advance

Re: Frequent Calls from Sky
@icesteelman
If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.
Significant discounts are harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new customer so don’t expect anything close to a new customer deal.
If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that in 18/24 months time you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.
These are the current methods for contacting Sky. (Depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …
🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers.
All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
Note: for any customer whose services are restricted due to a missed payment phone contact is unlikely to work.
🟩 online help via this link
https://www.sky.com/help
If necessary a number may be visible at the end of the correct help flow.
🟩 Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via
https://www.sky.com/help
for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.
🟩 Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).
Note ~ ROI customers 🔹If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines are closed at a weekend.

Re: Frequent Calls from Sky
Should you get another call from
that number try saying nothing after picking up the phone because if it is from Sky see if the bot will direct you through to a call taker.

If it was sky calling then when you didn't answer they would leave a message in your voice mail
