Free sky cinema

Recently had Sky Broadband and was told that I would get free Sky Cinema and Sky sports free for 2 months. Was told that the engineer would call me to confirm passwords but no call. Spoke with customer services who said that they could not see this offer and it would have to be the engineer who did it. Anyone else had this?

@Elle15  There is no reason for an engineer to confirm any passwords so if they do call or anyone else for that matter the one thing you should never reveal to anyone, regardless of who they are is any account passwords.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Free sky cinema

The engineer said this whilst at my property as I was not in due to work a relative was. I was told my sky when I called that it would have to be an engineer who would need to set this up as they can not do it from their end

Personally I think you or your relative has been misinformed but by all means you can register a complaint is you want:

They normally just add it to the account and then you are charged for it as you didn't realise you had to give 1 month notice to cancel it...  (I.e. it's not 'free' unless you know what to do)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
