Fraudulent Use of my name
I've received a call from a collection agency about payment for an account for a phone. I have not ordered a phone (and certainly have not received one!)or have an account with Sky. How can I contact someone to get this sorted please?
Thanks

Re: Fraudulent Use of my name
Firstly you need to put in a dispute with the collection agency and then speak to Sky about this as if could be that someone has got hold of your account details if someone has responded to a fake email or phone call.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Fraudulent Use of my name
I did dispute this with the collection people. They gave me an 0333 number but I can't get past the automated message as I don't have a Sky account! What number should I be calling?

Re: Fraudulent Use of my name
@Susan2023 seems to me that you are subject to fraud.... viz. stealing your identity and purchasing goods on credit.
I would contact Citizens Advice Bureau.
If you have an account with a credit agency eg ClearScore check what's been happening on your account.
Sky give some info here which includes contacting the Police (non emergency number), banks, Action Fraud.
It is a pain and stressful... Best of luck
