Fraud

Be very careful on the community I received a fraudulent call saying they wanted  to provide better broadband after I came on here about broadband going on and off they said they had to cancel my original direct debit and set up a new one to do so i nievely done this but it was fraudulent money was then taking out my account so not!!! Pay anything over the phone if you receive these calls hang up and phone sky direct

Or better still when they make a call just hang up and remember if you receive a call and it sounds to good to be true then it usually is.

I got a call today trying  to offer me starting  next a cheaper  deal on my mobile bill, i  said that I  would call sky about this to check and they had not phoned  me which I  knew  I  gave sky the london  phone number  and they made a note  of it and sent me a form to fill  in for the police to, also at 4, 30  this afternoon  on my way home  from  work  I  called  the number again  and this time I could not connect  to the landline number, when I  call the number  at 12, 30 on my lunch break  a Indian man spoke to  me  please  becarefull guys

@Hawthorne  No one can identify you or your contact details when you post here, therefore it's likely coincidence.  The only way anyone can known your contact details is if you have made them public online and as this community block any personla data from beiong posted it clearly isn't a community issue.

The sky advisor  talked about all the hacking that has been in the news  lately  and that they had had alot of  calls  about this  lately and no I  have not  given  out my details  thankyou I  don't  appreciate  being  told that at all you don't  know  what you are talking  about, have you  never watched  scam interceptor on the BBC

When you were told the number would be passed to the police they almost certainly meant Action Fraud who collate such information.

The same number i  have just found  phoned my daughter  this afternoon  saying  they were from  sky and could they speak to the account  holder, myself  my wife  my son and my daughter all have sky mobiles, my daughter  told them that she was not the account  holder  and if you  are from sky you would know this and put the phone down, she has just phoned  me and said she was called at about 2pm
