I have had an email about my updating my direct debit as you cannot use the one you already have

Are you sure this email is actually from Sky, there are two ways you can tell that it might not be. Firstly does it address you by your first name or say something like "Dear customer" and secondly is there a link in it that it wants you to update your details by, if the answer is yes to either of these then it is not from Sky.

 

You can check the status of your billing with Sky here via your online billing:

In case you’re not aware you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services on here. This is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to try to help other customers.

 

Are you absolutely certain this contact was really from Sky? How did the email address you? By name or Dear customer etc?

This was from the 3rd. I done a complaint one yesterday (6th) and waiting for a reply

If you can answer the question we asked you @jeanl63 we might be able to help figure out if this email was actually from Sky as it might not have been.
