Hi , I must say i am feeling downhearted with Sky presently ,
I had 2 Engineers visit me today as my sky viewing card was not working ,
Whilst here they said there was a new package of Sky Cinema , Free for 2 Months then £5 thereafter for which i agreed, They also said Make sure you are no longer paying for the Sky Discovery App as it is now free ,
I had Multiscreen installed at £7.50 per Month for 18 Months after which time it will Double in Price , Inclusive in this offer was UHD ,

Various things to unpack there, but ultimately you'll have to sort them out with Sky: we can only give pointers.
For example: Multiscreen unlocking UHD is only true on the old Entertainment bundle. With Signature as the baseline subscription, both HD and UHD are standalone supplements.
The non-UHD main Q box is the original 1 TB model: it's entirely possible for a subscriber to have ordered this prior to November 2019 (along with Multiscreen or not) just to save the up-front cost compared to the 2TB model. Having a bundle which qualified for UHD back then didn't mean a UHD box was supplied.
The 'social tariff' for Sky Broadband is described here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-social-tariff and the qualifying benefits are

Hi I have a Sky 2TB box ,
And the benefits side of it appears to only cover WiFi ie receiving a much reduced WiFi signal and has no bearing on the tv packaging

There are at least three versions of Q 2TB, all of which can do UHD: the v1 2016 release model is capable of UHD but not HDR.

That's correct: social tariffs are for broadband/phone and not television, because unlike internet access, subscription TV is not deemed 'essential'.

If they do then it will most likely come with a 18 month contract and there will be a price rise coming on 1st April which will see whatever you are payng go up if if you agree a new discount with Sky as it is based on the list price before the discount.

Hi , It appears i was given the 2016 box 2 Months ago and am expected to pay £50 to upgrade it , Which if i am certain it will then give me the benefits instead of replacing the box , It appears i have no Choice ,
I did speak with a Lady ie different tv , WiFi package etc but just felt completely unheard and exasperated

Are you sure it's not UHD capable, as @TimmyBGood posted? My early 2TB Sky Q Silver box certainly was.

Mark39,
Apparently yes it is a 2tb ,
But is an old model and doesn't have the HDR system or something on it,
And i have to pay to get that put on it despite only receiving the box 2 Months ago 🙃

Ah, OK.
UHD and HDR are not the same thing. My early 2TB box was capable of receiving UHD, but could not decode HDR. I guess you have the same model.

Yes it appears you had that box too,
When the Engineers came they said your TV is showing UHD but the Skybox isn't, They tried to change the settings etc,
Then said Give Sky a Call and ask them for a more updated box ,
However on ringing sky I was told they could upgrade the box I have for £50 ! Despite only receiving the box 2 Months ago and as I'm not too tech minded I'm genuinely not certain that this upgrade will deem the box in which I have to allow me the best box ie the guy I spike to after said better enhanced colour settings and said it would be the equivalent of a new and updated box , But I'm just not so sure
