Double the price!

My Sky subscription DD has suddenly gone up from to £144.00 a month £53.50 a month from a few months ago. I've tried to get in touch with Sky several times, they say they will get back to me but never do. I can now see why people say they hate Sky admin – they treat customers with contempt.

Is there an email or number I can try that's not a bot?

After a long call to India with the line breaking up and so on, I've been able to resolve the matter and come to an agreement to get the monthly price down, Thanks for the help.

It looks the discount you had has now finished so when calling say nothing when asked any questions by the bot and remain on the line. If you are offered a new discount it will come with a new 24 month contract so it might be worth making a note of when the 2 years are up so you are not caught out again with a sudden increase.

Thanks, but  I've been with Sky for 23 years, why should it suddenly increase my bill?
A telephone number to contact them would be useful.

If you've been with Sky for 23 you must be full aware of contractual minimum terms and what happens when that expires?

During that time there must have been periods when you had a discount on your account as it will have been surprising if you had paid full price throughout most of that time.

150 is the free number to use from a phone that has a Sky mobile sim in it or Sky Talk phone otherwise under "Need more help ?" link at the bottom of the page on this link is the number to call Sky on:

Try saying nothing when spoken to by the bot.

Following the instructions on the link lead to a 0333 number if you're in the UK.


Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
