Disrupted service refund?

There's been some issue with my sky box for almost a month now - one day there was just no service on all channels and nothing we've troubleshooted has worked to fix it. I booked an engineers visit for the first possibility, which due to Christmas is booked for tommorrow 8th January.

Now i understand the holidays had an impact but i'm paying £80 a month for something that i haven't been able to use at all this month, is there a policy for a partial refund, especially if we find the disruption was a technical fault of some sort?

Appreciate any info 🙂

@NXH131  You won;t get a refund, howeve Sky may credit your account based on the days without service if you call them once the issue is resolved.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Once the problem is fixed then call Sky and see if they'll entertain a credit for the period lost.

Re: Disrupted service refund?

It used to be the case that Sky would credit from the day the issue was reported up until the day before the issue is resolved by engineer

You will likely have to call and ask for this after the engineer leaves and the issue is confirmed to have been resolved

@NXH131

Unlike Sky Broadband and Sky Talk landline there is no set compensation scheme. Once the fault has been fixed you could contact Sky and ask if they'll place a small credit on your account for the time you've been without full service as a goodwill gesture although there is no obligation for them to do so.
