Disappointed that existing platinum customers can not get better deals like Black Friday deals

Rang sky as a platinum customer and asked if I can obtain a better deal - new customers are getting discounts for Black Friday and Virgin have offered me a deal that is 33% less - I was told I could not get anything better than the current contract - this is disappointing as existing customers are not being valued - roll on June 25 when I can move to Virgin - poor show SKY - I was not asking to match Virgin just to be given a token discount. I suppose my 19 years of service means nothing these days.

Most, if not all providers do this now. From recent posts on here it does seem that decent deals are increasingly hard to find. If you choose to leave the same will happen at the end of your discounted deal with whoever you go with. Once you've been away for 18 months you'll be able to rejoin Sky and benefit from new customer discounts.

The VIP level is not really factored into discounts. Nearly every Sky customer is a VIP member to some degree.

Virgin's Black Friday best deals are for new customers too*.

* There are some 'existing customer' deals but are only for upgrades and limited to 3 months only and then revert...

Of course, after your VM new customer deal expires you'll find you want get those prices again - but then back to Sky...
