Direct debit
Hi Sky, I’m a little concerned about my bill because I’ve already made a payment of £17.58 in advance, but I can see that another £17.58 is still due to be taken by Direct Debit today. My account is currently showing a £17.58 credit, so I’m worried I may be charged twice for the same bill. Could you please check my account and confirm whether the payment today will still be taken, and if so, what will happen to the extra payment and will this affect anything? Thank you.

@AkoyahPhillip
You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here. If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community which is made up predominantly of Sky customers helping other Sky customers which includes additional help from customers who are Superusers like myself.
Any manual payment was unnecessary and has correctly gone as a credit on your Sky account (to be used on your September bill), and then if the planned payment Sky try to take fails your services stand the risk of being restricted.
Best to let the Direct Debit or continuous card payment you have set up (as per the T's and C's) do the transaction Sky will be expecting.

Re: Direct debit
As explained above by @Daniel0210 you do not need to be making any manual payments as doing so might not stop Sky from taking it via the direct debit so regarding the credit you can either leave it so it is used against your next bill or if you want it can be refunded and help of which can be arranged via here if you want ?

Re: Direct debit
Would it be possible to kindly arrange a refund for the payment I made in advance? As this payment will now be held as credit towards my next bill rather than being used for today’s payment, I would really appreciate having the £17.58 refunded so that I can use the funds towards my upcoming Direct Debit payment. Thank you for your help and understanding.
