Direct debit not working
Anyone else having a problem with Sky taking money. I've set up direct debit with same bank account for tv, broadband and mobile. Mobile and broadband work fine but not streaming tv. Since November it always fails. Bank says never asked for and Sky say it's sorted every time I call but it's not. Last month they said it had wrong name and sorted this supposedly. Again in bills it says paid but hasn't come out of bank. What always happens after 4 or 5 days it says payment failed and I have to go through all this rigmarole again. Spent hours on the phone. If anyone has had this problem and fixed it could you tell me how and what the problem was. Thanks. Steve

Yes the payment failed yet again. Had to make a manual payment.

I am the exact same. Told me the payment failed on the 10th Feb but they never even attempted to take it as per my bank. I rang and they said its resolved for next month but I have to make manual payment this month. Tried to pay on the app and its stuck in a loop. Any updates on your side I dont want to have to keep calling.

Hi. I've just tried changing my direct debit but using my full name as advised by bank. Originally bank said use full details as it's a joint account but in Sky app it will only accept one name. If it fails next month gonna try changing payment method to a credit card. I've given up on phoning as that's a complete waste of my time. Good luck and let's know how you get on

I had to ring again to give direct debit details still not setting up the payment or taking it. Paid manually there again. Im already fed up they said its the bank I rang my bank and there was never any attempts for payment or setting up the direct debit.

That's exactly the same for me. They blame the bank but it's not down to the bank. My other two direct debits with Sky work perfectly with all the same information/ details. Next one is due on the 2nd march and usually fails by the 5th. Will report back then.

So they managed to set up a TV direct debit but not broadband. Another phone call to pay. Im getting so ticked off at this stage this is my 6th call of over 40 minutes giving the same details again.

Same again here. Still waiting for a callback supposedly on Saturday but never received. Unbelievable really. I'm thinking of changing my payment method to a credit card and see what happens next month. May try one more call later. Will post reply.

Yep. Failed again. Spoke to another advisor who was so polite and helpful and honest. She said she couldn't see anything else working as everything had been tried. Suggested to try changing payment method to card which I have now done so we will see if that works next month. This is the first advisor to suggest this option. 🤞🤪

Well that didn't work either. In my bills it's now showing overdue. You wouldn't think it could be this difficult to pay them would you. Back on phone shortly and see what they have to say.
