Diamond customer.........gutter customer

My problem is simple, Sky is trying to charge me for Sky Cinema which I clearly don't have. I had a 2month free trial which I cancelled on the correct day but my future bills still show it. Several phone calls and empty promises have ensued, I had the check to ask for, extremely politely a conversation with someone in the UK and was hung up on. I will try again today then I will cancel my direct debit. Thoughts anyone.

@Bizkit123

If Sky haven't cancelled the trial period properly then they will reimburse you in due course. Cancelling your payment method is definitely not a good idea and it will cause you lots of additional problems.

The relevant services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, the account can't be cancelled, late payment fees will be added monthly and then Sky will involve a debt recovery company which will affect your credit rating.

Just timing probably.

When you cancel an item you have to give 31 days notice.  Bills are produced 14 days before payment date and if the sub was still within the notice period the it's included as normal (including the month in advance).

The next bill will generate a credit back to the day of cancellation.

Withholding payment won't resolve it.
