Departmental Disconnect

I closed my account and returned all the equipments. Received email regarding the equipments. Telephoned and spoke to an agent and he confirmed that equiopment has been returned and confirmed that the account has been closed. Few months later I received an email saying they are charging me for an equipment cost and in the absence of response the claim will be made via a Debt collecting agency. I am 80 years old and not sure whom to communicate. Already I have spoken to the Customer Service agents few times and was assured that the account is closed. What do I do?

This is probably a long shot but did you keep the proof of posting receipt you should have been given when you returned the equipment because if you did it will have the tracking details on it and I'm afraid even if you did not you will have to speak to Sky again about this.
