Deals

Anybody know how to get better deals with them? It's so frustrating when they say 'oh you're a platinum customer now as if that means anything? Cause when it comes to renewing contracts the deals I'm being offered are terrible and prices extortionate, I'm seriously considering leaving all together now over 10 years paying them getting offered nothing

@Lorraine741
If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

’Significant’ discounts seem harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new Sky customer so don’t expect anything on a par to a new customer deal.

See this link…

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that at the end of their minimum term you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.

@Lorraine741  Significant discounts for renewing are hard to come by nowadays as companies are more interested in enticing new customers with those offers than retaining existing customers

you will just have to negotiate and be prepared to walk away if you don't receive an acceptable offer, you may then receive come back offers once your notice has completed

Like most providers, the best deals are seemingly reserved for new customers, so if you aren't happy with what Sky are offering the best thing to do is to switch to another provider as a new customer.

I've tended to actual give notice to leave BEFORE negotiating.

It can focus their minds but be prepared to leave...
