David Clark

Hi everyone at Sky. I have recently left sky and about to return my q box. How much would cost me if I kept the q box please.

Best Regards

David

We're a customer Community @DC531 . You're unlikely to get a reply from Sky. I believe the current rate for Sky (Q) Essentials is £15 per month, though you might be able to negotiate a lower rate. That enables you to receive and record the free to air channels.

As above, you need a subscription to keep the box.

However, an alternative would be a Freesat 4K box that you can purchase outright for freesat channels.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Also, in addtion to the other replies, the Sky Q box will never belong to you no matter what you pay as Sky Q equipment (apart from the dish & remote) are olny loaned to you

Note that a Q box retained after the subscription ends has zero functionality: it won't play back recordings, access apps or display free to air channels unless the minimum 'Television Essentials' monthly payment is in place (and this won't permit playback of recordings previously made from subscription channels)
