Credit refund to my bank account

I have a large amount of credit on my sky account.  Would like this transferred to my bank account.  Will not be leaving sky

What is this credit from, an overpayment or compensation credit ?

It was a compensation payment

You could call Sky and ask about refunding to your bank but 'auto compensation' is usually credited to your Sky Broadband/Talk account and used for future payments so don't be surprised if Sky say no.

You could try calling Sky to see what they say but usually it can not be refunded so will be used to pay your bills each month until it has all been used up.

Getting to speak to someone at sky is nigh impossible.  Go round in circles but no answers.

the amount is quite substantial over £500 therefore it would,take a long time to reduce the amount.  Hence my request to have the refund paid to my bank account.

You'll need to persevere in contacting Sky. 

The current methods for contacting Sky are below and depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others……

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
