Contract start date

I signed up online but I don’t want the subscription to start until my virgin contact ends. There was not an option for this when I signed up

It will be difficult for you to get the timing right. If you've ordered Sky broadband there's roughly a two week lead time before the service is activated, but it's not fixed For Sky Q TV, timing depends on the availability of an installation engineer. I think you'll need to accept an overlap (or break) in service.
