Contract renewal

On our account, we can see this message:Screenshot 2025-09-06 at 13.55.41.pngHowever, when we called to discuss this, we were told that to sign up to a new fixed term contract, or otherwise make any changes to our current rolling monthly package, would only cause our currently monthly price to increase. How is this "saving me money"?

Hi @Michele27   In what context? No doubt you are assuming compared to your previous contract. Whereas Sky, are probably comparing it against the full list price, i.e. the discounts are saving you money. (Note, cannot see the image yet).

Re: Contract renewal

The image I posted (from Sky's website under my account page) says "You're now on rolling monthly contracts for your Sky TV and Broadband & Talk Services. We can help you save money when you renew your Sky contracts on a fixed term basis with our exclusive 24 month offer". So I  assumed from this that if I sign up for a 24 month contract, I'm being offered the opportunity to benefit from a lower monthy charge compared to what I'm paying right now (as a rolling, out of contract customer). But having called Sky direct, I was told that in fact, by renewing, I'd have a monthly charge that is higher than what I'm currently paying. What's my incentive to do that?

Re: Contract renewal

Yes - they are the same as my current (rolling monthly) amount

@Michele27  on the face of it then, I agree there's no incentive for you to sign up to a fixed term deal.
