Contract Misinformation

I moved house earlier this year and moved my sky broadband with me.
When discussing this move, I was told I would have to get a different connection etc. becuase they couldnt supply the same speeds in the new place so i would have to be put on a different broadband. I was also told there were no changes to my contract and that it would still end December this year.

After I moved house, I noticed on the sky portal that my contract date had change to 'ends 05/2027', so i contacted them on the online chat and the agent told me 'we do advise that any emails / letters we send might mention a new contract. This doesn't apply to you because you're moving all the same products, so you can ignore it.' and that I was not in contract as I had not signed a new one, I asked them twice and saved the transcript of this. Assured me I was not in contract and could cancel at anytime without incurring a fee.

Now today as my parents would like to take over the broadband and want to have a different provider to sky, I wanted to triple check that I am not in contract as previously told. Contact online chatroom again and now this agent tells me im in contract until 05/2027 and to cancel I will have to pay the early termination fee.

Why do 3 people from the Sky team tell me 3 different things, why am I in an extra contract I was told did not apply to me.
I no longer have a job, am struggling to find work hence my parents wanting to take over since they have a stable income and now after being told there will be no charges, when I ask again now all of a sudden im in some contract and will have to pay a termination fee? Is there anyone at sky I can talk to about this misinformation I've received and actual get a real answer?
