Choosing delivery dates for hardware
I've just been through the ordering setup, to enable me to book a date for broadband installation mid-august. There is no way to do this whilst taking a tv package without sky immediately sending the puck and hub next day delivery. We'll not even be at the property for two more weeks. I got through to a human (finally) who cannot change the date the hardware is sent, so now I need to delay with DPD, who only delay for up to 7 days, after which they will return the item. This can't be an uncommon thing to merely send the items shortly before the engineer visit (before which they are of no use anyway).
Is there anything I can do?

Re: Choosing delivery dates for hardware
@MikeDucker cancel your Sky Stream order and re-order it nearer the time?

Re: Choosing delivery dates for hardware
Hubs aren't dispatched immediately.
Hubs for new activations are normally dispatched via Royal Mail to arrive a 'few days' prior to the activation date.
Based on the experience my son had, once it has been dispatched you should be able to track it through Royal Mail. The postman/woman will usually leave it hidden if no one is in. You shouldn't need to sign for it.
They should also pop a card through the letterbox telling you where it was left and the tracking should show some information on it too.
