Charged for cancelled subscription

I took the Sky kids free trial but cancelled it on the 1st of September more than 31 days before the free trial ended. But on my last bill i was charged the £6.00 for the sky kids which i have not paid as i cancelled it i have tried phoning but cannot get through on phone for ages with no answer.

@Popsie  How did you cancel?  Did you receive confirmation?   Witholding payment no matter how right you think you are is not a good idea.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

How did you cancel and did you receive confirmation? I would caution against not paying your bill in full as it's likely to result in your services being restricted, and make it much more difficult for you to sort this out with Sky.

If it was correctly cancelled then it's probably just timing as bills are generated 14 days prior to payment date which includes any active subs (even if they ended the day after) with a month in advance.

 

The following month's bill will then generate a corresponding credit back to the day of cancellation.

 

Withholding payment is not wise as you may be subjected to an automated late payment charge and other restrictions.
