Charged for Streaming when cancelled 2 months ago

I have recently moved to the USA and cancelled my streaming acct. I have now been contacted by debt collectors as I have unresolved debts on my account. I have subsequently paid these debts but would like to know why I am being charged.

We can't say for sure but perhaps you cancelled your payment method too quickly while there was still another payment due during your notice period ?

Did you get any email acknowledgement of the cancellation ?
