Looking at it there are thousands of complaints About this. I didn't keep the Royal Mail return receipt as I thought after a month or so I had heard nothing from sky. I didn't even receive an email stating I was going to charged. Sky just took the £50 with the direct debit! I have and talked to a very rude person from their "customer service " department and basically told me it was tough. I returned the faulty equipment the day I received the return packaging. Tbh I am really peed off, to the point I am thinking of cancelling the lot and taking the hit in cancellation fees as I know this will cost sky more in the long run. I have been with sky for years and this is how they treat loyal customers, JOKE!

The latest T’s and C’s for TV subscriptions explicitly state you can't cancel during a minimum discounted term unless Sky agree to it. If they allow you to leave you’ll basically have to pay off the rest of your discounted term.

It's primarily a customer Community, so it's unlikely that Sky will reply here. I'd give them another call. Explain calmly and politely what has happened and ask what they can do to help. Hopefully you'll speak to a more sympathetic adviser the second time around.
