Cancelling my subscribtion

Hi all

 

i have got tv and broadband with someone else, my installation date with them is 15th july, when do i cancel my sky subscribtion?

im not in any contract with them as i never entered a new contract with them when mine ended last year.

also when ive cancelled my subscribtion will i still have my sevices until the new company have taken over?

You have to give 31 days notice for TV services and 14 days notice for broadband services. Note you aren't out of contract, you have a contract until you cancel what you are out of is your minimum term contract which means you are paying full list price (no discounts) but can leave by invoking the notice period.

 

If switching to another ISP on the openreach network they should make a line takeover request which would automatically cancel your sky broadband service only and ensures you don't lose broadband connectivity (think of it as a solar process to when you switch energy supplier). You would know this is the case as you would have received a cancellation confirmation email from Sky for your broadband if the takeover process was applicable.
