Cancelling all Sky

I have been trying to cancel Sky for the last 2 days. Given the runaround, has already cost nearly 20 euro in calls and texts and still can't get anyone to cancel my subscription. My last resort now is to contact Joe Duffy on RTE radio to highlight the discraceful service by Sky. I'm cancelling the direct debit tomorrow. Anybody any other suggestions.

All I can suggest is not cancelling the direct debit as that will just cause you more issues down the line unfortunately.

 

If you aren't getting anywhere have you tried raising a complaint?

@Jo19685  You're not talking to Sky, so threats of Joe Duffy will be meaningless to fellow customers who your posting to.

 

Cancelling the direct debit will only cause you more issues than it resolves, that is NOT the correct way to deal with any issues.

 

Have you tried contacting Sky online during office hours to cancel? https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv-roi#contact-leave

And if you cancel your payment method any calls to Sky will only prompt you to reinstate it and you won't be able to cancel. 

Are you still in a minimum term deal? The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term. If you view this link it should explain that for ROI customers the only options are calling or writing in.

(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
