Broadband Early Termination charges

My new supplier has confirmed that my new broadband service will be activated on 26 October 2026. My Sky minimum commitment ends on 25 October 2026.

I understand that an Early Termination Charge applies if my Sky service ends before the end of my minimum commitment. However, Sky's own guidance states that when switching broadband provider, Sky Broadband cancels when the new service is activated.

Why are Sky planning to charge me a £17 ETC?

If your dates are correct there shouldn't be a ETC if the 25th October is when your minimum term expires.
