I have had a bill but not connected yet why is that

Depends on the service...  if it was streaming tv then that does start billing after 3 weeks I think.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

As above billing for streaming starts 21 days from delivery if it has not been activated:

Important: Just so you know, if you don’t activate within 21 days of delivery, we’ll activate it automatically and your billing will start.
