Been billed twice

My Sky bill always comes out on the 12th of each month, which July payment has already been processed. However I have been charged again today so I have basically paid two payments in one month, and then another payment will occur in 17 days when my next bill comes out? Can this be explained please?

@Shellforbes  Did you make a manual payment by any chance?

 

Did the original Direct debit payment get collected from your bank if not Sky would attempt another request 10 working days later.? 

 

It's unlikley Sky would take a duplicate payment except for the 2 reasons stated

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
