Asking me to return items I sent back nearly 2 years ago

I have left sky and have been sent the returns package to send back the items I have. However on it they have asked for a sky q mini box which I returned nearly 2 years ago when I downgraded my package when I was moving house. What do I do?

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you sometime tomorrow morning regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:

When the chat bubble does appear tomorrow you will have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.
This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Although a while ago Have you kept your proof of posting for the mini box)?

Before Christmas returns were taking 2+ weeks to be processed by Unipart who deal with the returns and they aren’t the quickest in updating Sky that equipment has been received. That is likely to be longer after the holiday period. Let us know in this thread about the proof of posting and we can maybe get you some help from the Messaging Team.

If you have the proof we’ve been told it’s a fairly straightforward process for the team. If you haven’t retained it, any cancellation of non return fees would be at Skys discretion.

Please don’t try to post an image of the Royal Mail tracking or postal receipt as Sky don’t allow them on the forum.

Sorry if it wasn't clear but the issue is that I sent the sky q mini box back nearly 2 years ago and I only have the standard sky q box to return but the mini box is the n the list of items sky think I need to return

Yes, I understood. I know it's a long shot but did you keep the proof of posting the mini box back two years ago (we do advise to keep it indefinitely)?

No it's long gone. Sky never ever chased me for it not reaching them so I assumed it did

Are they actually asking for it back or have they provided you a list of the usual items that they would want back when an account is cancelled ?

In case you aren’t aware this is a customer to customer forum and you’re not contacting Sky Customer Services by posting on here.

I take it Sky are chasing you for the equipment you claim to have returned?

Have you kept your proof of posting?
