Hello,
My DD debits my account on the 25th of each money.
i upgraded my phone on the 20th new one recieved and sent old one back and credit agreement was sucsessfully closed. ( sky owed me 9 pound which i can see has come off my next bill)
however the DD has went out of my account today and i have paid for the new phone and my old one.......so surely sky owes me for my old phone right?????
also on the same bill. i ran out of data last month so i upgraded my data. i was currently on 50gb for 20 a month..... i upgraded to 100 for 36. i have then been charged 16 pound and 36 pound?!?!?!?!?!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIn all likelihood your refund will be applied to your next bill, as it takes a while for the refund to be applied after the service is deactivated and returned. There is a delay in the third party that Sky use to process refunds, so it could take a couple of weeks for Sky to even be notifed that your old phone has been returned. Did you retain proof of the return package i.e the tracking number? It that is showing as the package being received you can use that as proof that Sky usually accepts in order to speed up that part of the process.
If you go to www.sky.com/bill, and look at your future bills its possible the discount has been applied to your December bill. Its also possible it may take a little while longer for the refund to appear against your bill.
If you changed your package, you would be billed for the days you used the old package and then the days you used the new package. The itemised dates should appear on your bill so you can see the period that each charge applied to.

i have confirmation from sky to say the swap is complete and the 9 pound difference has been taken off the next bill.
however maybe because i did the swap so close to the DD date. i have been charged my monthly fee for my old phone by mistake?

I've had the same thing with the TV service, and a couple of days after the cancellation date the refund appears in the following months bill essentially as credit against your account, so you will pay less next month.

They would do but this wouldn't happen until it has been recieved in by the company that handles the returns so it could take a few weeks to process.
