Am I overpaying?
I've been with Sky 9 years, today I was talking to some friends about the costs and it seems I'm paying a lot more than them and they have better packages!
I don’t have the 4K sky Q box just the original one, I have free Netflix (with ads) and Paramount plus. This is my current subscription and prices.
Sky Signature £35.50 (That’s with a £5 discount I have until 2026)
Ultimate TV pack £4.50
Sky sports complete including Sky sports + £29.00 (That’s with a £5 discount I have until 2026)
Sky Cinema £10 (£3 discount until end of the year)
Sky sports HD £2 (£4 discount until, I kid you not, 2108!)
Sky HD £9
Multiscreen £6 (£9 discount until 2026)
Sky broadband ultrafast £46 (£3 discount until 2026)
Total = £142 per month
Am I being ripped off?

Re: Am I overpaying?
@AJRobson it appears you're 'in contract' so you've agreed to those subscription prices.

Re: Am I overpaying?
Yes, but am I overpaying? When I signed up they didn't say every customer is charged differnently.

Re: Am I overpaying?
You signed up 9 years ago. When your discounts end and you contacted Sky to negotiate a new deal for 24 months that was the time to say "No I'm not happy with that offer" and if you didn't think it was value for money then cancel. In my opinion it's never wise to ask others what they're paying as you're bound to end up disappointed.

Re: Am I overpaying?
Again I'm literally just looking for a yes or no answer. It's not about value for money, I can afford £142 a month it's about transparency, if I'm being ripped off I'd like to know so when it's time to renew I can go elsewhere.

Re: Am I overpaying?
@AJRobson No you are not being "ripped off", you are paying a price that you where clearly happy with when you agreed it.
Others may have been able to agree a lower fee, that's just the way it is(some will be paying more).

Hi @AJRobson Your discounts look about right. It will be new customer prices elsewhere, so guaranteed to be better value. I would ask your friends to show you their bills. The chances are they are exaggerating or don't have your many packages or on a different level.

Good luck with finding a supplier of subscription satellite television which offers better terms ; )
Outside a minimum contract term, Sky costs significantly more: that's been their business model for nearly four decades, and one subsequently adopted by, for example, the entire ISP industry.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Am I overpaying?
I wouldn't say 'ripped off' but they are not good discounts.
I recently renegotiated and got 40% off list.
As others have said, if you've 'agreed' to those discounts then Sky aren't going to offer you lower...
