Hi I cancelled my sky tv but kept my sky broadband. Sky gave me a better price with the same broadband than what it was going to cost once the contract ended. They are charging me a £10 admin fee which I understand , however there is also a £10 activation fee for the same broadband, existing hub etc . Has anyone else had the activation £10 charge when just keeping exactly the same broadband? I feel this isn't right as I have downgraded or upgraded or having any new hub .

I would think the same so all you can do is to challenge Sky about this on two counts, firstly as I presume you were not informed there would be such a charge and secondly because as you have said nothing has had to be activated as you are an existing broadband customer.

Just an update , so I phoned customer services. They told me I shouldn't have been charged an activation fee and an admin fee of £10 , which was unexpected. Customer service told me the admin fee only applies to tv products not broadband. So a good result £20 refund which should be processed Monday .

If they are actually refunding you then it might be later than Monday due to it being a bank holiday but otherwise it might be a credit that they apply to your account that can then be used to part pay a future bill.
