Account refund

I received a letter telling me I am in credit. When I ring the number provided it is telling me that they will send a cheque. As I am disabled this is not suitable for me. How do I get the refund paid in to my bank account. The details Sky have are from a defunct account

If you've cancelled your payment method since cancelling you'll need to call Sky. They can either:

  • raise a cheque and post it to you or
  • reinstate your previous payment method and refund you within 3-5 WORKING days

These are the current methods for contacting Sky (and depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers. Other official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are normally inclusive from non Sky phones.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

🟩 Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via
https://www.sky.com/help
for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

🟩 Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).

So basically there is no known number to ring. It looks like it is all online, which in my opinion is an absolute nightmare. Even a google search does not get you what good companies have, an emial or phone service. Thankfully it is not much of a refund and looks like I will have to forget about it

There are alternative numbers if you don't have Sky Talk or Sky mobile but as stated above the forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers. Other official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are normally inclusive from non Sky phones. You may find numbers on a Google search but beware of using a premium rate number.

Oh I give up now. I have been searching on Google for these "alternative" numbers. Strange how you can find a number to join this lot or pay them but no number for refunds. I'm so glad I left Sky, and I'm sorry they sent me that letter. Horrible ,horrible company

Did the number you called earlier get you through to talk to someone, if so call them back and let them know you are happy to reinstate your payment details for the refund to be issued via it.
