@Paul_20 Cancelling your Direct debit is the worse thing you can do.
If you've spoken to Sky today it can take a day or 2 for your bill to update
It's not clear from your post how it's £500?

I concur. Tempting as it might seem cancelling the payment method is definitely not recommended.
Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you wont be able to cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky could involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

I agree cancelling the direct debit will get you no where so why are there £500 charges being added to your next bill so what is the full story here ?
