Telephone point relocation

Good afternoon, I'd like to move my tv to a different part of the living room, but need to relocate the phone socket. Is that something a Sky engineer would do?

You wouldn't need to relocate a phone socket to accommodate moving your tv?

Re: Telephone point relocation

The sky box is plugged into the main bt socket and is not close enough to accommodate the tv if we move it.

It's no longer necessary to connect your Sky box to the telephone line. The requirement was removed several years ago.

Thanks Mark, our internet isn't brilliant, but I'll give it a go. 👍

That's not related.  The direct connection between a Sky+ box and a phone socket historically served as the access method for very basic (dial-up modem speed) interactive services such as voting, and to permit Sky to harvest telemetry from the box: these ceased several years ago  All on-demand content (and streaming services, although not on Sky+ hardware) comes from an external Internet link via a router and the broadband service of an ISP.
