I have terrible interference on landline and tried to sort out on the help page and a virtual assistant, but not resolved. I have also done silent line test.
The issue has got worse over last few weeks to the extent my phone line is completely unusable.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreTry the below test (even if your broadband is working okay). If it detects a fault you'll hopefully be able to book an engineer.

If not, we would normally escalate your issue to Sky and the Messaging Team could help you but there is currently a limited service with that so either call Sky via a mobile or post back in this thread at the weekend when we can hopefully escalate it.

I have a cable connection phone.
I ran the checker as requested ane everything came back as green, but I noticed it didn't test the phone line, or at least didn't report that it had.
Could you confirm how I can book an engineer ?
Thanks
Paul

You will have to phone Sky but make sure you tell them it's a landline fault, not broadband.

If you need to contact Sky, then if you already have a Sky Mobile call free by dialling 150, otherwise you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0818 number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).
You will find that similar to calling other large companies the start will be automated which may also try to send you back to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and don’t hang up.
