I tried phoning sky yesterday and it did an automated phone line check it said their was a fault on the line but it didnt transfer to anyone to help me.

If the test detects a fault, you'll be able to book an engineer there and then: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

I ran the test but it didnt find a fault, I finally got to speak to an advisor and they have booked an engineer. Thanks for your help though much appreciated
