Sky + stuck on initialising/ no satellite signal

Turned my sky plus box on from the mains yesterday and since then it's had the your box is initialising come back later, also no satellite signal and date is Thursday 01 01. I have tried rebooting it, done an update and checked all wires/connections. But nothing has worked.

It will either be the result of a box failure or no signal from your satellite dish reaching the box. Probably best to book am engineer who will pinpoint the cause.

Sounds like a dish issue, contact someone to take a look
