I have the sky HD+ box. I bought a new unit yesterday so that I could have the sky box and all the usual junk hidden. I had a magic eye which I thought I could use, but the box has no RF output.
is there a way to use the remote control when the box is in a unit? (Other than an open door, which defeats the purpose) I know that Q uses bluetooth so would work but I only have one tv in the house (shock horror, I know. I am old school with no tv's anywhere else)
or would a wireless IR extender work?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf y9u can find one (ebay perhaps?) you can use an IO-Link adaptor to provide an RF output with which you can use a magic eye.
A wireless IR extender would also work

Wired may be preferable.

@picklesmum Sky+ HD boxes haven't been made since 2015 so the box will not have been new🤔
