On demand not working on 2 boxes again

We have 2 Sky hd boxes in the Sami house that will not download on demand content. This is the same issue I and many others had last year. Boxes fine, recordings fine and catch up from bbc ect all working fine. Any on demand content just fails on both boxes. Nothing wrong with our broadband, all other services are perfect. The issue last year was with skys DNS servers that eventually got sorted and a box update started services working as normal. I have called sky multiple times but it's not a simple reboot the box call and don't get any help apart from pushing Sky Q upgrades. Can anyone help?

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy service that Sky are winding down, this is why they are heavily pushing Sky Q

Try changing the DNS server the Sky box uses

Re: On demand not working on 2 boxes again

The dns server at my end is not the problem. 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 1.1.1.1 should all work fine. Catch up content works fine. On demand sky channels do not.

Thanks, there is a known issue that some MTUs cause failures, but 1500 is fine, that is what mine is set to 🙂
