Hi. I Have Sky HD at home.
Everytime it rains heavyish, I lose all channels, or at best, there's very pixelated images and intermittent sound.
My dish is nearly years old, so has likely had it's life.
My problem is, for some time, I can't be at home for an engineer to call, even on weekends (my work hours are all over the place, with little notice)
After repair or replacement, would they need access to the house to check the signal is ok?
p.s.
I don't want a Sky Q upgrade right now.
Thank you.

The dish is nearly 20 years old. I missed bits out 🙂

I don't mind the dish being moved, but do you mean he'd need to enter the house to check the signal?
Thanks

Find out moreThe engineer will use a satellite direction finder and signal meter to align the dish externally but as @Daniel0210 indicates they will also want to check cable signal at the Sky box. They typically also require someone to be available to give permission for them to drill a hole for their ladder safety tether.
