You'll be getting an installer with a Sky Q box in their van and a ladder to do the LNB change.
Sky+ HD hasn't been the current platform since 2016 and Sky doesn't offer new subscriptions on it.

If the 'old sky box' is Sky+ / Sky+ HD then that's obsolete.
If it's Q hardware from a previous contract then it should have been returned to Sky.
The LNB on the dish requires changing when moving from Sky+ to Sky Q.

I think its Sky+ as they did not want it back when I left the last time.

Thanks for that, Dont think he will need a ladder though as the dish is really low, it is attached to the fence and I am always banging my head of it when in the garden, I remember him telling me when they first fitted it that they can put them really low now.

Height of a Satellite dish is not a signal strength issue (the signal comes from approx 22000 miles above the earth) but more an issue of what might obstruct it when low down - Trees/animals/humans/vehicles etc.
