Where abroad are you going as with some countries using roaming on your Sky Mobile can work out being really expensive. You can check the cost yourself here:

In all most all EU countries roaming passport costs £2 per 24 hours and is automatically activated when you make a phone call, send a text or use more than 10mb of mobile data. Calls to local numbers are charged at international rates. In other countries you are charged for what you use so mobile data can be something like £2.13 per MB so you will wrack up a large bill if the country falls under "Rest of the world" charges.
