I've been using Outlook for yearss. Suddenly it stopped sending / receiving emails. I have tried absolutely everything to restore the service to no avail. When I try to create an app password in Yahoo I am told to login then go to the security page to generate an app password but there nothing shown on the security page other than 'security is OK' nothing more. Totally useless. Office 365 recently automatically installed an update and the problem started after that. I am using Windows10 with Outlook for Microsoft 365 current channel or insider built (no way of identifying which one). I have spent days trying to resolve the problem, following umpteen versions of how but nothing has worked. Without the app password I can get no further.

You need to use Sky's app password generator. There's a link here which takes you to it: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/problems-accessing-sky-mail-from-your-email-app
There's no link to it from your Sky Yahoo Mail account settings.

I upgraded my PC last week. I've used Office 365 Outlook with my sky email successfully for years. When I came to add my Sky email account it to my new copy of Outlook I found I needed an app password. The Account security screen in Yahoo Mail does not give me a generator option and this link https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps although provides an app password, it won't work

An error screen appears that says "Something went wrong", with options
not "my email address"

though my email address appears on the left hand side as you would expect but is not functional

If via the link try completely logging out of this forum and then only login to the link.
