Unable to access Sky Yahoo across all devices

Morning all,

We have awoken this morning to find our Sky email account has disappeared off our Yahoo accounts on the app and online. I did manage to get into the account via the Sky website, but the last email recieved was yesterday, (26/6/23).

Anyone else have this problem?

Re: Unable to access Sky Yahoo across all devices

No, not yet. But the lack of new emails in the account today, makes me think the issue is not completely tied to accessibility? I will do at lunchtime though, but thx for the suggestion.

Re: Unable to access Sky Yahoo across all devices

I also lost access to my Sky.com emails today on MacBook and iPhone.

Initially, it did not recognise my password. When I tried to reset it it did not recognise my recovery information.

I'm guessing I've been hacked.

Any suggestions on how to recover my account?

There's a known, intermittent problem with Apple Mail regularly reported here.

If you can log in ok here, there's no issue with your Sky Yahoo Mail account: https://www.sky.com/signin/email

As an alternative to waiting for Apple to fix it, you could use a different email app, such as Outlook, Yahoo, or a client like Thunderbird.

On your Android phone have you tried setting it up as a Not Yahoo account or selecting Other then using these settings;

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes

You will then need to generate a 16 digit password and use that instead of your usual one, you can do that here:

Re: Unable to access Sky Yahoo across all devices

Sorry, I don't think I explained my issue clearly.

I am unable to log into my Sky.com email account. I've tried several different devices and apps...still no good. The issue appears to be with Sky/Yahoo but neither seems interested in helping me.

@Savo1965 what was the error message when you tried to log in via the link in my previous post?

Re: Unable to access Sky Yahoo across all devices

I no longer have a Sky account so I'm unable to log in.

Re: Unable to access Sky Yahoo across all devices

That's the issue.

My email login has been compromised.

So the response is that your log in details are incorrect? Have you tried resetting your password via the link on the login page?

Re: Unable to access Sky Yahoo across all devices

Yes, it says that it does not recognise my email address!!! Hence I think it's been hacked and the password changed.
