I think the only fix is to not use Window 10/11 Mail. (until Microsoft or Yahoo fix it)

You can use the webmail in the meantime (https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email) or another client such as Thunderbird.

Edit: eM Client (mentioned in the other thread) is also a good alternative. It used to limit you to 2 email accounts, but now you can get a free licence, don't know what the limitations on that are.

When setting it up make sure you select "Other" as the account provider then use these settings:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes

You will need to use a generated password:

Firstly, the app password isn't temporary, so I'm not sure why you thought that.

Secondly, depending on the app you are using, you may need to enter the password in two places, the IMAP/POP server and the SMTP server. (If it's not sending it will be the SMTP server that needs correcting.)

This worries me a bit, I'm wondering if you have been a victim of phishing, and given your credentials to a scammer,

Could you explain a bit more about this "update"?
