Activation code issue

I only get an activation code on a phone that is not on my account. How do I change this

Do you mean the verification code for 2 factor authentication of Sky Yahoo Mail? If not, activation code of what service are you referring to?

When you set up 2FA, you enter the phone number you want verification codes to go to. If you've given the wrong number, you'll need to cancel 2FA and set it up again. To cancel it, click on 'can't enter verification code' (can't remember the exact wording) and then enter your recovery  code instead. 

 

You can then set up 2FA again, if you wish, using the phone number you want verification codes to go to.

It's still not clear what you are refering to.

Are you asking about the verification code for 2FA, or something else?

To clarify. When I log on to yahoo mail I enter e mail address, password then I get a activation code sent actually to my business phone. I want to delete this process and just log in with my password. Please advise further.

That is known as a verification code. To turn it off you have to click the "Can't sign in with code?" link, and use the recovery code you were given when you turmed 2FA on.
