router not recognising pc

hi all
my problem is the sky SR203 fibre router
in  maintenance/attached devices does not recognise my LINUX PC ip address
i can ping it from win pc to linux pc i can putty into it,  my windows pc's are all recognised with ip address's
i then used advanced/lan-ip/Address Reservation and using user-defined security/Services also security/firewall in/out the ports used are 8073 plus the ip address
on the linux pc using ifconfig displays ip address and mac address
i can ftp into the linux pc
the setting i have used are for a software defined radio using a ddns, server even using a ddns server i cannot use and does not help so if someone can point me in the correct direction most appreciative

Your Linux PC does not need to be recongised in the attached devices area for firewall rules to work. Providing the rule is setup with the correct IP address it should work.
